The University of Calabar (UNICAL) today at the Abraham O’dia Stadium matriculated about 11, 110 students for the 2020/2021 academic session.
According to the VC, a total of 47,149 students chose UNICAL as their first choice in UTME.
She said 65 per cent of the students were admitted into departments that are science-based which include Medicine and related courses.
“35 per cent of the students were admitted into Arts and Humanities which cover Education, Law, Social and Management Sciences.”
Addressing members of the University Governing Council, students, and participants at the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Florence Obi advised students to shun all forms of anti-social vices like rape, cultism, fighting, stealing, impersonation, drug peddling among others.
