EKSU MANAGEMENT REQUESTS UNDERSTANDING AMIDST SCHOOL FEES INCREASE 

The Management of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, has called for calm among stakeholders, especially students, regarding the recent adjustment in fees for prospective students in the 2024/2025 academic session.

The university’s Governing Council carefully reviewed the current economic realities and the institution’s commitment to delivering quality education before deciding to implement a modest increase in fees.

This adjustment is designed to align with the rising cost of operations while ensuring the university continues to meet global standards in higher education.It is worth noting that the Ekiti State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has recently increased the university’s monthly subvention.

However, operational costs at the institution have surged due to inflation, with the prices of goods and services rising by approximately 200%. In response, the Governing Council opted for a marginal 50% adjustment in the fees payable by freshers to ensure the sustainability of the university’s operations.
