COVID-19: WAEC Unveils Online Programmes For Candidates To Learn 

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) Nigeria, has unveiled online programmes to keep candidates updated pending the commencement of the Examination, as they eagerly await the end of COVID-19.

Recall that the WAEC had postponed the examination due to the anxieties the pandemic has generated among the populace and also to support the various protocols being put in place by the Federal and State Governments in order to curb the spread of the virus.

In a statement signed by the Council’s Head of Public Affairs, Demianus G Ojijeogwu on Wednesday, WAEC urged candidates to take advantage of the resources it provided on the portals; The Chief Examiners’ Report and Candidates’ Interactive Portal.

According to the examination council, The Chief Examiners’ Report is designed to give reasons why candidates who sat previous WAEC examination performed below expectations.

“It will help you avoid error the errors that made candidates record below average performers. Log in to www.waeconline.org.ng/e-learning and check the Chief Examiners’ Reports from 2008 to 2018.

“This portal gives you comprehensive analysis f candidates’ performance in all subjects, identifying their strengths and weaknesses. what they failed to do and what they should have done to perform better.”

While the Candidates’ Interactive Portal is an interactive information sharing perform that allows the Council to effectively engage candidates before, during and after the examination.

“Candidates are advised to log on to the portal: www.waeckonnect.com with the login details sent to their email addresses during the registration process, and avail themselves of this veritable tool for their examination success.”

The examination Council urged candidates not to play around during this waiting period, but to study hard for the postponed examination.

WAEC noted that a timetable will be announced once normalcy is restored
