COVID – 19: Nigerian Universities comply to FG, NUC directives while KWASU fails

Following the directive of the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Education and National Universities Commission that all Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnic and Schools should go on a one month break as a result of the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Virtually, all varsities, schools nationwide have complied except for few varsities.

The Kwara State University has failed to declare that all students should be on a one month break. Recall that the University directed her students to resume on Monday, 23rd of March 2020.

Several reactions have been put forward by the students of the University, expecting that their Management is expected to act in accordance to the directive given by the Federal Government. As at now, no memo or press release has been given by the University ordering the students to go to their respective homes.

One of the students who claimed anonymity said that the varsity has already ordered the students to resume this mid week and also because of the school’s academic calendar which has been prepared for next session.
